Custom Elf Bear reveal and finish photos!

Finished Custom Elf Bear
from
Bramblewood Bears

Inspiration Photo

I tried to achieve a very similar twirly multi-colored frolic of sweeping hair
of the elf pictured.

This elf bear has many similarities to the photo as well as maintaining some bear features.

When thinking of ways to accessorize this creature, it struck me to use some of my collected Steampunk treasures to dress up his vest.

His vest and sandals boast various gears, watch hands and filigree charms that I created to accentuate his colors and style.

Of course this Elf bear is in his true element in the out-doors, so it was only fitting to get his pictures next to one of the old-growth trees on our property.

I also gave him a belly button and tiny toes peeking from under his sandals, just like the original Elf.

And if you look closely, you can spy a tiny earring in one of his elf ears.

Suddenly while taking pictures, the wind decided to storm on our parade. It was whipping in all directions and even making the trees whistle as I snapped away.

I thought these windy pictures really showed the flowing effect of his fur and evoked his true wild character.

I hope I was able to capture the essence of the elf inspiration photo and transfer the attitude and feel of the original into this Bramblewood Bears Elf creation.

And now this charming boy is off to his new home and a new mom! Here is to his many adventures in the future, and thank you especially to the wonderful collector who commissioned me with this inspirational project! I truly enjoyed this challenge and stretch of imagination!!

I am so glad to have shared him with you. Stay tuned for more Bramblewood Custom Bears to come in the next few weeks.
